Busser at Lolo's
About The Position
The Busser prepares dining areas before guests are seated, sets and places tableware, serves and refills water and other beverages, and removes dirty utensils and replenishes them as needed. The role cleans and resets tables after guests leave and helps servers monitor tables for plate condition, empty glasses, and cleanliness. The Busser maintains neat and orderly restaurant areas, follows health and safety regulations in kitchen and dining areas, assists servers and hosts when needed, and sweeps or mops restaurant areas at the end of each shift, including removing, cleaning, and replacing matting.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- Meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with high-profile clients, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Able to frequently lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work in a busy restaurant setting.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume, luxury lounge or restaurant.
- Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
- Set tables with napkins, linens, silverware, and other required items; place tableware on tables.
- Serve water and refill beverages as needed.
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish them as needed.
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave.
- Maintain health and safety regulations in kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist servers and hosts when necessary.
- Keep restaurant areas neat and orderly at all times.
- Help servers check tables for plate condition, empty glasses, cleanliness, and other needs.
- Sweep and/or mop restaurant areas at the end of every shift, removing, cleaning, and replacing matting.
