About The Position
A Host/Hostess warmly welcomes and engages guests upon arrival, fostering a comfortable and personalized experience throughout their stay. They use active listening and empathy to anticipate and address guests’ needs, understand their preferences, and serve as a key contact and resource by offering creative solutions to challenges. Hosts help ensure guests depart with a positive impression and are encouraged to return to the hotel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.
- Work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Seat guests promptly and efficiently, considering server sections and guest preferences.
- Communicate effectively with guests, servers, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Practice safe work habits, including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
