About The Position

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess at Barrel House Bistro. The role welcomes and seats guests, manages dining-room flow and reservations, and helps maintain service standards, table settings, and cleanliness. The Host/Hostess remains accessible to guests, staff, and management; communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager; and incorporates safe work practices. No experience is necessary, as training is provided. Regular and reliable attendance and an outgoing, friendly attitude are expected.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and escort them to their assigned tables.
Manage dining-room flow by seating guests according to station rotation, maintaining guest lists, and following and enforcing check-issue procedures.
Assign opening and/or closing side duties, supervise side work, and ensure station setup lists are complete before service staff leave.
Maintain the reservation book, answer incoming calls, and record reservations and guest requests.
Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
Maintain appearance and cleanliness standards in service areas.
Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management on the dining-room floor.
Check tables before service to ensure they are properly set.
Assist with side work and help service staff bus tables and take cocktail orders.
Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
Use safe work practices while performing the job.
