About The Position

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess for Barrel House Bistro. The role welcomes and escorts guests, manages seating and reservations, and supports the service team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Host/Hostess is expected to maintain service-area appearance and cleanliness, communicate guest needs to management, and follow safe work practices. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and escort them to their assigned tables.
• Manage dining-room flow by seating guests according to station rotation, maintaining guest lists, and following and enforcing check-issue procedures.
• Assign opening or closing side duties and supervise side work, ensuring station setup lists are completed before service staff depart.
• Maintain the reservation book; answer incoming calls; record reservations and guest requests.
• Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness standards in service areas.
• Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management on the dining-room floor.
• Check tables before service to ensure they are properly set.
• Assist with side work and help service staff bus tables and take cocktail orders.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
