About The Position

Black Desert Resort is seeking a part-time Host/Hostess for its 20th Hole dining outlet. The Host/Hostess creates a welcoming first impression for guests and serves as their first point of contact when dining at the restaurant. The role manages reservations, greets and seats guests, and helps maintain an efficient dining experience. This position is onsite at Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah, is year-round, and pays $15 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. The position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
Knowledge of reservation systems and point-of-sale software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet arriving guests warmly and professionally.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize dining room capacity.
Escort guests to tables and provide menus.
Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to support smooth, efficient service.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and special requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area.
Monitor dining room activity to ensure guests are seated in a timely manner.
Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
Provide guests with information about resort amenities and dining options.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on service standards and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
