About The Position
The Host/Hostess/Ambassador is a seasonal restaurant host role at Ocean Club at Hotel del Coronado. The position welcomes and escorts guests in a dining outlet, helping create memorable guest experiences through warm, attentive hospitality. The role also supports the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, including seating guests, managing the seating chart, monitoring dining activity, responding to guest requests, and assisting with opening, closing, and service-preparation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and quickly and effectively determine their needs.
- Seat guests, manage the seating chart, and monitor dining activity to maintain a smooth experience.
- Respond promptly and knowledgeably to guest inquiries and special requests.
- Perform opening and closing tasks.
- Assist with service preparation, including stocking and folding silverware.
