About The Position
The Recreation Manager oversees daily recreation operations at Hotel del Coronado, managing recreation services and helping deliver memorable guest experiences. The role covers guest experience, food and beverage offerings, marketing, merchandising, reservations, systems, budgeting, and reporting. The manager coordinates and promotes recreation programs and activities, including pool and water activities, tennis tournaments, children’s programs, and special events. The role monitors service quality and guest satisfaction, addresses concerns, and identifies opportunities for improvement. It also involves training, supervising, and mentoring team members; conducting performance evaluations; supporting professional development; recognizing achievements; and maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day recreation operations, including guest experience, food and beverage offerings, marketing, merchandising, reservations, systems, budgeting, and reporting.
- Coordinate and promote recreation offerings, including pool and water activities, tennis tournaments, children’s programs, and special events.
- Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction trends, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
