About The Position

Hotel del Coronado, a Curio Collection by Hilton, is hiring a full-time Cook II for its banquets team. The role prepares food for guests and contributes to memorable dining experiences at a large resort with 65,000 square feet of banquet space and multiple food and beverage outlets. The Cook II prepares menu items according to recipes and quality standards, manages guest orders, uses advanced cooking techniques, checks food quality and presentation, and maintains sanitary, well-stocked workstations. The position may involve independently working a station, assisting with training, and handling minor supervisory duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Use advanced cooking techniques, including sauces, roasting, grilling, and plating, and work a station independently as needed.
• Inspect preparations and dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary, following food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Manage multiple tickets or orders at once, assist with training, and perform minor supervisory duties as needed.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
