About The Position

The Host/Cashier welcomes guests, handles transactions accurately, and creates a warm and friendly first impression. The role calls for positive energy, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset. Duties include greeting and assisting guests, managing seating and wait lists, processing payments, answering phones, supporting carryout orders, maintaining front-of-house cleanliness, and communicating with restaurant staff to support efficient operations. No experience is required; prior host or cashier experience is a plus. The position requires working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
Manage seating arrangements and wait lists to support smooth restaurant flow and guest satisfaction.
Accurately process guest payments and responsibly handle cash, credit card, and other transactions.
Answer phones, assist guests with questions, and support carryout or to-go orders as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance, and dining areas.
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to support efficient operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Take initiative and look for ways to improve daily work.
Put the team first, remain open to feedback, and lead with respect.
Communicate thoughtfully and use good judgment when navigating situations.
