About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with team members are essential to maintaining continuity of service and fostering a positive work environment. The role contributes to patients’ experiences by helping provide a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment and delivering a high level of customer service and care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience in customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, with Patient Transport preferred within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross, with Patient Transport preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Handler certification from the ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Allergy Certificate from the ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification from the ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Refer to and follow the job description for the role being performed, including use of the associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to support a high level of customer service and care.
• Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
• Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
