About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work across multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with team members are important to maintaining continuity of service and fostering a positive work environment. The position is part of the patient care team and contributes to patients’ experience by helping provide a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment. This part-time role is based at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, in Environmental Services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• For Patient Transport, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days is preferred.
• For Patient Transport, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross within 90 days is preferred.
• Accredited Food Handler certification from ANSI within 90 days is preferred.
• Accredited Food Allergy Certificate from ANSI within 90 days is preferred.
• Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification from ANSI within 90 days is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refer to and perform the functions in the job description for the role being performed, including using associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to provide a high level of customer service and care.
• Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
• Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
