Hospitality Technician
About The Position
As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with other team members are essential to maintain continuity of service and foster a positive work environment. This position is part of the patient care team and contributes to patients’ experiences by helping provide a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment. The role includes communicating with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to provide customer service and care, and greeting and assisting people as they navigate the hospital. The position also involves completing assigned special projects with specific direction. Refer to the description of the role being performed for role-specific duties and associated technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant experience in customer service and/or a related area.
Nice To Haves
- Patient Transport experience, preferred within 90 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, preferred within 90 days.
- Accredited Food Handler certification from ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.
- Accredited Food Allergy Certificate from ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.
- Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification from ANSI National Accreditation Board, preferred within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to support customer service and care.
- Help provide a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment as part of the patient care team.
- Greet and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital to their destinations.
- Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
- Work across multiple locations and departments, collaborating with team members to ensure continuity of service.
