About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with other team members are essential to ensure continuity of service and foster a positive work environment. This role is part of the patient care team and contributes to a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment that supports a positive patient experience.

The position is based at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is full-time. The scheduled hours are 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with 36 weekly scheduled hours and every other weekend worked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience in customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, preferred within 90 days for Patient Transport.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross, preferred within 90 days for Patient Transport.
• ANSI-accredited Food Handler certification, preferred within 90 days.
• ANSI-accredited Food Allergy Certificate, preferred within 90 days.
• ANSI-accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification, preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Refer to the job description for the role being performed, including using the associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients/residents to provide a high level of customer service and care.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment and a positive patient experience.
• Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff, and/or patients in navigating the hospital.
• Complete assigned special projects with specific direction.
