About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with team members are essential to maintaining continuity of service and fostering a positive work environment. This position is part of the patient care team and helps create a positive patient experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment. The role also involves greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and patients as they navigate the hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Patient Transport experience for 90 days preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred for Patient Transport.
• American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred for Patient Transport.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Handler certification preferred.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Allergy Certificate preferred.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refer to and perform the duties in the job description for the role being performed, including using associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to provide a high level of customer service and care.
• Help create a positive patient experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment.
• Greet and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
• Complete assigned special projects with specific direction.
