About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will support patients by working across multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with team members help ensure continuity of service and foster a positive work environment. This position is part of the patient care team and contributes to patients’ experiences by helping provide a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Patient Transport experience; preferred within 90 days.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; preferred within 90 days.
• American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; preferred within 90 days.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Handler certification; preferred within 90 days.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Allergy Certificate; preferred within 90 days.
• ANSI National Accreditation Board Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification; preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Refer to and perform the duties in the job description for the role being performed, including using its associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, patients, and residents to support high-quality customer service and care.
• Greet and assist visitors, staff, and patients with navigating the hospital to reach their destinations.
• Complete assigned special projects with specific direction.
