About The Position

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with team members are essential to maintaining continuity of service and fostering a positive work environment. This role is part of the patient care team and helps create a positive patient experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment.

The position is part-time at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, with 20 scheduled hours per week. The shift is evenings, from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, and Friday, with every other weekend worked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience in customer service and/or other related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Patient Transport: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred within 90 days.
• Patient Transport: American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Handler certification from the ANSI National Accreditation Board preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Allergy Certificate from the ANSI National Accreditation Board preferred within 90 days.
• Accredited Food Protection Manager (CFP) certification from the ANSI National Accreditation Board preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Refer to and follow the job description for the role being performed, including use of associated technology.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients or residents to provide a high level of customer service and care.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment that supports a positive patient experience.
• Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
• Complete assigned special projects with specific direction.
