About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Hospitality Service Technician I follows set schedules to provide daily and/or major cleaning of floors, offices, corridors, and other areas throughout Parrish Medical Center facilities. This is identified as an essential job function.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0 to less than 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Empty wastebaskets and dust all areas.
• Clean patient rooms using the 7-step cleaning process; clean offices daily and mop areas as scheduled. Sanitize patient room floors daily.
• Clean bathrooms and fixtures and sanitize floors daily.
• Clean furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces according to prescribed methods.
• Perform spot cleaning of walls, windows, and carpeted areas.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and restock supplies.
• Make beds, gather linen, and complete patient-room checkout assignments according to prescribed methods.
• Notify the Supervisor of areas requiring additional cleaning, such as patient-room carpet shampooing or washing walls.
• Perform similar or related duties as assigned.
• Know fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations applicable to the work area.
