About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Hospitality Service Technician I follows set schedules to provide daily and/or major cleaning of floors, offices, corridors, and other assigned areas throughout Parrish Medical Center facilities. This is an essential job function. The role requires knowledge of fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations applicable to the work area.

Requirements

• 0 to less than 1 year of work experience.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empty wastebaskets and dust all areas.
• Clean patient rooms using the 7-step cleaning process.
• Clean offices daily and mop areas as scheduled.
• Sanitize patient room floors daily.
• Clean bathrooms and fixtures and sanitize floors daily.
• Clean furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces according to prescribed methods.
• Spot-clean walls, windows, and carpeted areas.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and restock supplies.
• Make beds, gather linen, and complete patient-room checkout assignments according to prescribed methods.
• Notify the Supervisor about areas requiring additional cleaning, such as patient-room carpet shampooing or wall washing.
• Perform similar or related duties as assigned.
• Know and follow fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations applicable to the work area.
