About The Position

The Hospitality Services Supervisor works in the Food Service Department at The Waterford at Fairfield, a Sonida Senior Living community serving residents in an Independent Living community. The role helps ensure residents, guests, and visitors receive creative, flavorful, nutritious, varied, and timely food and beverage service. It supports the Dining Services Director with department staffing and training, maintains menus and recipes, and supervises service on the serving line. The position also collaborates on marketing needs while helping maintain a profitable, well-operated department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1–3 years of Food Service Supervision experience in a hospital, hotel, healthcare, or senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate food and beverage provisions and service for residents, guests, and visitors during meal periods, special events, activities, and marketing events.
• Collaborate on the marketing needs of the operation while maintaining a profitable and well-operated department.
• Assist the Dining Services Director with recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and terminating department staff, and document and coordinate these actions.
• Develop, implement, conduct, and document in-service training programs related to the Food Service Department.
• Schedule staff for department and community in-service training.
• Ensure menus and recipes are written and followed.
• Supervise the serving line to ensure food is attractively displayed and properly served.
