About The Position
Under management direction, the Hospital Services Technician travels between customer healthcare facilities to provide scheduled on-site collection and exchange of waste containers for Stericycle programs, including sharps management, pharmaceutical waste, controlled substances, and document management. The position services University of New Mexico Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital locations in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 4 a.m. start time. No prior hospital service experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- Be present onsite at WM Healthcare Solutions customer locations and comply with all immunization requirements imposed by those customers.
- Have a driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of industry-related customer service experience, or equivalent related work experience demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in varied settings and situations.
- High school diploma or GED (accredited).
Responsibilities
- Travel between customer healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for assigned Stericycle programs and services.
- Interact professionally with customer staff onsite to meet or exceed service expectations.
- Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule.
- Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
