Hospital Services Technician
About The Position
Under management direction, the Hospital Services Technician travels between customer healthcare facilities to provide scheduled on-site collection and exchange of waste containers for WM Healthcare Solutions programs, including Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. The position requires professional interaction with customer staff and adherence to a regular service schedule. It is a field role conducted in indoor garage, shop, or gas plant settings and outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The position is safety-sensitive and requires compliance with safety protocols and customer immunization requirements. Drug and alcohol testing may be conducted as part of employment requirements.
Requirements
- Be present on-site at WM Healthcare Solutions customer locations and comply with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by those customers.
- Have two years of industry-related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent related work experience demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be able to lift up to 65 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
- Strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols.
- Have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business air travel or access to federal property.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED (accredited).
- Two years of industry-related customer service experience.
Responsibilities
