About The Position

Under management direction, the Hospital Services Technician travels between customer healthcare facilities to provide on-site, proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for WM Healthcare Solutions programs. Services include Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management, delivered at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. The position requires on-site presence at customer locations and compliance with customer-mandated immunization requirements. It is a safety-sensitive field role that operates both indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge; the schedule may change based on business needs. The posting describes 30 hours per week and calls the position full-time.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
On-site presence at WM Healthcare Solutions customer locations.
Compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by customer facilities.
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and push or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing.
Strict compliance with safety rules and protocols.
May be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing, in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Nice To Haves

Two years of industry-related customer service experience, or equivalent related work experience demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in varied settings and situations.
High school diploma or GED (accredited).
