About The Position

Under management direction, the Hospital Services Technician travels between customer healthcare facilities to provide on-site, proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for WM Healthcare Solutions programs. These include Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. Service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. The role requires on-site presence at customer locations and compliance with their mandatory immunization requirements. It is a safety-sensitive field position that operates in both indoor garage, shop, or gas plant conditions and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The successful candidate must strictly follow safety rules and protocols and may be subject to drug and alcohol testing under government regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
On-site presence at WM Healthcare Solutions customer locations.
Compliance with mandatory immunization requirements imposed by customer facilities.
Strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations.
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.
Ability to perform extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing.

Nice To Haves

Two years of industry-related experience in a customer service capacity, or equivalent related work experience.
Accredited high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Travel between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for WM Healthcare Solutions programs and services.
Interact professionally with on-site customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule.
Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
