About The Position

Xanitos is hiring part-time Hospital Housekeepers at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The role may be assigned to any location on the client’s health care campus and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining facilities in an orderly condition. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.

The position pays $16.00 per hour. Tentative shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Part-time employees may be scheduled up to three days per week and must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must complete post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug testing.
• Annual influenza immunization is a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is requested and granted.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking; handling and reaching; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Visual abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the janitorial industry is preferred.
• Experience cleaning in a medical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
