About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring part-time Hospital Housekeepers at Valleywise Behavioral Health Maryvale in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves cleaning and maintaining an orderly condition in facilities across a health care campus. Work may be performed at any location on client premises, and responsibilities may vary according to business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The hourly pay rate is $16.00. Tentative schedules are Mid Shift, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, or 3rd Shift, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM. Employees must be available to work weekends and holidays. A post-offer medical assessment, background screening, and drug test are required. Annual influenza immunization is a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is requested and granted. The position requires extended periods of standing and regular walking, use of hands and arms, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds. Duties may involve exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment, fumes or airborne particles, and occasionally moving mechanical parts. The work environment is usually quiet.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions in English.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the janitorial industry is preferred.
Experience cleaning in a medical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
Keep facilities or locations on the health care campus clean and orderly.
