About The Position

Xanitos is hiring part-time hospital housekeepers at Valleywise Community Health Center in Guadalupe, Arizona. The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper may work at any location on client premises and cleans and maintains an orderly condition in facilities or locations on a health care campus. General responsibilities may vary among accounts according to business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The hourly pay rate is $16. The tentative schedule is 2nd shift, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test are required.
• Annual influenza immunization is a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is requested and granted.
• Ability to stand and walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the janitorial industry is preferred.
• Experience cleaning in a medical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
