About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Tulsa, Bixby, Owasso, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and the surrounding metropolitan area. The role focuses on providing thoughtful end-of-life care in pets’ homes, allowing time to listen to families, answer questions, and help them say goodbye with dignity and peace. Veterinarians practice independently in the field, with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and support from experienced colleagues. Schedules are available from two to five days per week, including self-managed part-time options. Full-time options include a five-day schedule with a $105,000 annual salary or a four-day schedule with a $90,000 annual salary, each with quarterly bonus opportunities. Compensation for two- and three-day schedules is prorated; guaranteed compensation ranges from $55,000 to $135,000 depending on schedule. Weekend days are selected by the veterinarian, with four weekend days per month.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Completion of license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
