About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and families in Tulsa, Bixby, Owasso, Sand Springs, and the surrounding Oklahoma metropolitan area. Care is delivered in pets’ homes, with a focus on giving families time, clear explanations, and compassionate support during end-of-life decisions and goodbyes. The role offers a mobile, independent practice environment with a small number of appointments each day and no double-booking. Veterinarians can choose among schedules ranging from two days per week to full-time, including self-managed DVM Flex-Scheduling. The employer describes compensation as guaranteed and schedule-dependent, with base salary options and quarterly bonus opportunities. The role includes onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues. There is no non-compete agreement. Candidates must complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before starting.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets in their homes.
