About The Position

Ennoble Care is seeking a per diem, on-call Hospice Registered Nurse in and around the Dayton, Ohio area to provide care and support to terminally ill patients. The nurse helps patients live their final days with dignity and comfort by providing clinical care, emotional support, and assistance tailored to each patient's needs. The role includes coordinating care with physicians, other professionals, and caregivers, responding to calls, visiting patients as needed, managing symptoms and medication, maintaining records, and supporting patients' families through loss.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice within the State of Georgia.
• Proven experience as a hospice nurse or registered nurse.
• Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines and side effects.
• Commitment to safety precautions and high ethical standards.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Compassion, patience, and emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to plan care.
• Triage phone calls.
• Visit patients as needed to evaluate their condition.
• Provide support and comfort according to individual patients' needs.
• Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care.
• Help administer medication.
• Alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease's end phase.
• Notify a doctor about a patient's condition when necessary.
• Assist patients and their families with paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Help relatives cope with the upcoming loss and provide post-mortem support.
