On Call Registered Nurse - Hospice

The Care Team Home Health & Hospice•Peoria, IL
•$78,000 - $88,000

About The Position

The Care Team Hospice is seeking compassionate and experienced On-Call Registered Nurses to provide after-hours and weekend support to hospice patients and families. The role focuses on responding to patient needs, managing symptoms, completing visits when necessary, and supporting patients and families. Unlike a traditional RN Case Manager position, it does not include responsibility for a full daytime caseload. When not actively responding to patient needs in the field, the nurse can remain at home while available for on-call responsibilities. The role offers independence and autonomy with support from an experienced clinical team. Flexible scheduling arrangements are being explored, including weekday on-call coverage from Monday through Thursday, 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM the following morning; weekend on-call coverage from Friday at 4:30 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM; rotating seven-days-on/seven-days-off coverage; and other arrangements discussed with the employer. The Care Team Hospice describes its culture as built on Compassion, Innovation, Integrity, and Respect, and offers a supportive, growth-focused environment.
