About The Position

The Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse provides hospice patient care after hours and on weekends as needed. The role supports patients in spending quality time with loved ones and doing activities they enjoy, builds trusting and compassionate relationships with patients and families, and educates caregivers on caring for their loved ones. The nurse helps patients and families maintain comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies.

Schedules are flexible to meet agency staffing needs and may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on followed by seven days off. Requirements

• Hold an RN license in the state where the nurse works.
• Have two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Have a current driver’s license.
• Hold current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Be able to flex the schedule to meet agency staffing needs.
