About The Position

Ennoble Care is seeking a per diem hospice registered nurse in and around the Cincinnati, Ohio area to provide care and support to terminally ill patients. The nurse helps patients approach the end of life with dignity, comfort, acceptance, and peace of mind. The role involves hospice nursing care, including medication administration, symptom relief, and emotional support for patients and their families.

The position works with physicians, other professionals, caregivers, patients, and relatives to plan and deliver individualized care. It also includes triaging phone calls, making visits as needed to assess patients, maintaining accurate records, assisting with paperwork, and providing support to relatives before and after a patient’s death.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice within the State of Georgia.
• Proven experience as a hospice nurse or registered nurse.
• Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines and side effects.
• Commitment to safety precautions and high ethical standards.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Compassion, patience, and emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to plan care.
• Triage phone calls.
• Visit patients as needed to evaluate their condition.
• Provide support and comfort according to each patient’s needs.
• Work with caregivers to plan and deliver patient care.
• Help administer medication.
• Alleviate sudden symptoms associated with the end phase of disease.
• Notify a doctor about a patient’s condition when necessary.
• Assist patients and their families with paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Help relatives cope with an impending loss and provide post-mortem support.
