About The Position

Ennoble Care is seeking a per diem, on-call Hospice Registered Nurse in and around Dayton, Ohio, to provide care and support to terminally ill patients. The nurse helps patients approach the end of life with comfort, dignity, and peace of mind, providing compassionate clinical care and emotional support.

The role includes coordinating care with physicians and other professionals, triaging phone calls, visiting patients as needed to assess their condition, supporting caregivers, assisting with medication administration, responding to symptoms associated with the end phase of disease, notifying a doctor when needed, maintaining accurate records, and helping patients and families with paperwork and the emotional impact of an upcoming loss. Post-mortem support is also part of the role.

Ennoble Care provides mobile primary care, palliative care, and hospice services. Its clinicians visit patients at home and provide ongoing care for people with chronic conditions and limited mobility.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice within the State of GA.
• Proven experience as a hospice nurse or registered nurse.
• Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines and side effects.
• Commitment to safety precautions and high ethical standards.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Compassionate and patient, with emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to plan care.
• Triage phone calls.
• Visit patients as needed to evaluate their condition.
• Provide support and comfort according to individual patient needs.
• Work with caregivers to plan and carry out patient care.
• Help administer medication.
• Alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease’s end phase.
• Notify a doctor about a patient’s condition when deemed necessary.
• Assist patients and their families with paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Help relatives cope with an upcoming loss and provide post-mortem support.
