About The Position

The Hospice Care Consultant represents AccentCare in the Northeast Broward territory, connecting patients and families with hospice care. The role focuses on hospice sales, educating referral sources about services, and helping ensure patients receive timely, quality care. The consultant builds relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and community partners, and works with Admissions, Marketing, and clinical staff to support outreach and smooth referral transitions. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, monthly bonuses, and mileage.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree and/or five years of proven experience in home health, healthcare sales, or hospice sales.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and community organizations through in-person visits and educational conversations.
Explain hospice services and help referral sources understand when and how hospice care can support patients and families.
Drive hospice sales by maintaining current relationships, identifying new referral opportunities, and increasing awareness of programs.
Conduct presentations and in-services about hospice benefits and eligibility.
Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing teams to develop and carry out community outreach plans.
Partner with clinical staff to help referrals transition smoothly into care while prioritizing patient comfort, dignity, and family support.
Participate in training and planning outreach strategies, uphold quality and ethical commitments, and maintain confidentiality.
