Pediatric COTA – Choose Your Schedule
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric provides pediatric home health services in children’s homes, daycares, and schools. The Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant delivers personalized, one-on-one care under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to physician-approved treatment plans. The role includes implementing therapeutic interventions, educating families and caregivers, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and completing clinical documentation. The position offers flexible scheduling, including full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities, with a gradual caseload ramp-up for new hires and support from clinical supervisors and administrative staff. The role serves Greater Houston and surrounding areas. Pay is $35.00–$40.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold a current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license by the anticipated start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year of pediatric or related experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to physician-approved treatment plans.
- Implement interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, activities of daily living, and overall functional independence.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
