About The Position

ComForCare Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one care in clients’ homes, helping seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent. The role is open to experienced caregivers and people new to the field; paid training is provided. Positions are available full-time, part-time, year-round, and seasonal, with 3- to 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling across morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend hours. The service area includes communities throughout Northern Michigan.

Caregivers work independently in clients’ homes and are supported by the team. ComForCare says caregivers are treated with respect and dignity, receive ongoing training, are not left without field support, and are thoughtfully matched with compatible clients.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience is a plus but is not required.
• Applicants with CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, hospitality, retail, or customer-service backgrounds, or a passion for helping others, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands.
• Give medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Support clients’ hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
