Home Health Aide / Caregiver - CNA / HHA / PCA
About The Position
ComForCare Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care to seniors and adults, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. The position is open to experienced caregivers and people new to the field; paid training and a supportive team are provided. The role offers flexible scheduling, with full-time, part-time, year-round, and seasonal positions and shifts ranging from 3 to 12 hours. Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are available. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour, with gas or mileage reimbursement for travel to and between client visits, holiday pay at 1.5 times, paid sick time, and night and weekend pay differentials. The employer serves clients throughout Northern Michigan, including Gaylord, Grayling, Petoskey, Traverse City, and surrounding communities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Be able to work independently in clients' homes.
- Have strong communication and time-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience is a plus but is not required.
- Applicants with experience as caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, or DSPs are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service, or a passion for helping others, is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and conversation.
- Support clients' hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
