Home Health Aide / Caregiver - CNA / HHA / PCA
About The Position
ComForCare Home Care is hiring a Home Health Aide / Caregiver to provide one-on-one, in-home support to seniors and adults, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. The position offers paid training, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team. Shifts range from 3 to 12 hours and may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, or on weekends; weekends are optional. The listed pay is $17.15–$18.00 per hour. Additional compensation and support include gas reimbursement for travel to and between client visits, holiday pay at 1.5 times the regular rate, paid sick time, night and weekend differentials, paid training, career-growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement of up to $500 for CNA certification. The service area covers Northern Michigan communities and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience is a plus but is not required.
- Applicants may include caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, DSPs, and people with hospitality, retail, or customer-service backgrounds or an interest in helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and conversation.
- Support clients' hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
