About The Position
Thrive USA Home Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aid / Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home support to veterans, military families, and individuals with diverse care needs across Maryland, DC, Florida, and Tennessee. The role supports clients’ daily activities, safety, independence, and well-being, helping create a warm and supportive environment. The position pays $21–$22 per hour and offers 10–40 hours per week. Work is performed in person in Maryland, DC, Florida, or Tennessee.
Requirements
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques.
- Knowledge of dementia care, including Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling and patient transfers using proper methods.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and care plan documentation.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Observe clients’ vital signs and overall condition and promptly report changes.
- Support medication administration according to care plans and HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals suited to individual dietary needs and assist with eating when necessary.
- Facilitate safe patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Keep client spaces clean, sanitary, organized, and safe.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, and community outings.
