About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring part-time Event Staff to support events at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York. The role provides event security and guest services, including checking bags, enforcing access control, and implementing venue policies and procedures to help keep guests and owners safe while delivering a positive guest experience. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. A New York State Guard Card may be required; candidates who do not already have one should notify their interviewer.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be required before employment; candidates without a New York State Guard Card should notify their interviewer.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Allow appropriate entry into the venue; collect or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic entering and leaving the venue.
Screen guests during entry through bag searches, hand-wand or metal-detector screening, and ID verification.
Watch for security breaches at vital checkpoints to protect guests, staff, and venue ownership-group assets.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, or other assigned locations.
Give guests helpful directions or suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
