About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Staff to support sporting events. This seasonal role offers a flexible schedule and an event environment, with duties including collecting tickets, welcoming and ushering guests, providing customer service, directing foot traffic, and maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of designated areas. Staff help prepare for and execute event days, control venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets and verifying wristbands or badges, and follow the policies and procedures of each venue and event. They greet guests warmly, thank them at the end of interactions, and provide directions and suggestions to improve the guest experience. Starting pay is $15 per hour, paid weekly. No experience is required.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; may be required to pass a Driver’s Record check.
Must be professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Allow appropriate entry into venues; collect or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct incoming and outgoing traffic.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Greet guests in a friendly and personal manner and thank them at the end of interactions.
Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their experience.
Collect tickets, welcome and usher guests, and provide superior customer service.
Direct foot traffic and help maintain the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and upkeep of designated areas.
