About The Position
Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring part-time Event Staff for local events in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports event-day preparation and execution by helping guests enter venues, collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, directing traffic, and providing welcoming, helpful customer service. Team members also help maintain the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and upkeep of designated areas. The position offers flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, and pays $15.50–$16 per hour with weekly pay. No prior experience is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; may be required to pass a Driver’s Record check.
- Must be professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
- Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic into and out of the venue.
- Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
- Greet guests in a friendly and personal manner and thank them at the end of the interaction.
- Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their event experience.
- Help ensure designated areas remain clean, operationally efficient, and maintained.
