Virtual HIMS Educator
About The Position
The HIMS Educator provides education in the HIMS field to coders, HIMS personnel, physicians, and other departments. Topics include ICD-10 coding for the UB and the PAI, CMS 13 compliance, PHI, and documentation. The role supports compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies through identified and provided education opportunities. It also supports cultural diversity by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity. Employees must reside within 150 miles of an Encompass Health inpatient hospital. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
