About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life through personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, and occasional transportation. The agency provides training, resources, field support from an RN Supervisor, and client matching. Flexible schedules are available, including full-time schedules, with opportunities to advance into office roles such as scheduling or recruiting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience are considered.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency's team.
