About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life through personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, and household safety. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, training, resources, and assistance finding a suitable client match. Flexible scheduling is available, including full-time schedules, with opportunities to grow into office roles in scheduling or recruiting.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.
Nursing students seeking patient care experience.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
