About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide in-home support to clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes while supporting their dignity, well-being, and quality of life. The role includes assistance with daily activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment. Caregivers receive support from an RN Supervisor, ongoing training, and help finding a suitable client match. Flexible scheduling is available, including full-time schedules, with opportunities to grow into office roles such as scheduling or recruiting.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
Previous experience in home care or a similar setting.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency team.
