About The Position

The Help Me Grow Navigator provides access and referral service coordination for families contacting Help Me Grow by phone, website, email, or fax. The Navigator ensures contacts are served promptly and appropriately, in keeping with families’ rights and needs; connects callers with appropriate internal or external resources; and works with families until their needs are met or follow-up is scheduled. The position embraces the mission and seven key principles for providing early intervention services in the natural environment.

Physical on-site presence, including regular attendance and punctuality, is an essential function. Work hours and assigned facilities may change according to agency or program needs, and schedule changes require supervisor approval. Staff participate in agency emergency preparedness and environmental safety programs and may be assigned essential duties during critical events or business continuity needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field such as psychology or child development.
• Two years of work experience in early childhood development.
• Physical on-site presence, regular attendance, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Connect callers to the most appropriate internal and/or external resources.
• Work with families until their needs are met or follow-up is scheduled.
• Participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs.
• Maintain required on-site presence, attendance, and punctuality.
