About The Position

The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of maintenance and cleanliness while promoting Family Style Service through actions and a positive attitude. The role involves providing welcoming, courteous service to casino guests and employees, cleaning and maintaining casino areas and equipment, supporting safety and security, and following company and regulatory policies. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include late nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts subject to change.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license.
Ability to push and pull up to 200 pounds.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
Ability to safely work with provided cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
Ability to work from a standing or sitting position and/or walking motion for an extended period.
Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
One year of experience cleaning public buildings and/or facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle high-volume customer interactions while remaining outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
Build guest relations by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
Provide superior guest service, positively influence interactions with guests and employees, and work courteously with fellow employees while handling difficult guest interactions and business conditions.
Clean slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators; vacuum floors; and clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms.
Mop floors around bars, restrooms, and entrances.
Remove trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans, and deposit waste in outside dumpsters.
Help ensure the safety and security of guests and employees, and participate in routine drills as assigned.
Paint and lubricate machinery and equipment as needed; report maintenance needs and order parts for defective equipment.
Deliver and properly store stock from the receiving department.
Maintain knowledge of casino events and promotional activities and assist as needed.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies ethically, and empower and require others to do the same.
Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, recognize situations requiring supervisory attention, and seek resolutions that maintain positive guest relationships.
Work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
Help maintain a spotless environment by disposing of cups, glasses, bottles, and other items left on the floor by guests.
Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management.
