About The Position

The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance while promoting Family Style Service through a positive attitude and actions. The role includes frequent guest interactions and providing courteous, welcoming service, including handling routine complaints and escalating situations that require supervisory attention. The cleaner performs extensive cleaning throughout the casino, handles trash and stock, conducts basic equipment upkeep, and helps maintain guest and employee safety. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve working in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license.
Ability to push and pull up to 200 pounds.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
Ability to safely work with provided cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
Ability to work from a standing or sitting position and/or walking motion for an extended period.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of experience cleaning public buildings and/or facilities.

Responsibilities

Maintain high standards of maintenance and cleanliness and promote Family Style Service through actions and a positive attitude.
Handle high-volume customer interactions while remaining outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
Build guest relations by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
Provide superior guest service and interact positively and courteously with guests and employees, including during difficult business conditions.
Clean slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators, and vacuum floors.
Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms; mop floors around bars, restrooms, and entrances.
Remove trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans, and deposit trash and debris in outside dumpsters.
Dispose of cups, glasses, bottles, and other items left on the floor by guests.
Help ensure the safety and security of guests and employees and participate in routine drills as assigned.
Paint and lubricate machinery and equipment as needed.
Report equipment maintenance needs and order parts for defective equipment.
Deliver and properly store stock from the receiving department.
Maintain knowledge of casino events and promotional activities and assist as needed.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Follow regulatory, departmental, and Company policies ethically and empower and require others to do the same.
Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, use discretion to identify situations requiring supervisory attention, and seek to resolve situations while maintaining positive guest relationships.
Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management.
