About The Position

The Heavy Duty Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and sanitation. The position is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, surfaces, and dishware in compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout assigned shifts.
• Proficiency in safely handling and applying commercial cleaning chemicals and sanitization techniques.
• Ability to regularly lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by facility standards.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of professional experience in kitchen sanitation or heavy-duty cleaning.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for food service environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to rigorous sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, and glassware using manual and automatic dishwashing methods.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and trays, removing food residue and contaminants.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Clean and properly maintain kitchen equipment and work surfaces according to established protocols.
• Dispose of waste in designated receptacles in accordance with facility guidelines and environmental regulations.
